Who we are
FollowersGain runs followersgain.co.uk and is responsible for the personal data described here. Contact us about privacy at support@followersgain.co.uk.
What we collect, and why
| Data | Why | Lawful basis |
|---|---|---|
| Username or post/video link, package and price | To deliver the order | Contract |
| Order reference, order status, payment reference | To track, refill and refund orders | Contract |
| Email address and name passed to us with your payment | To send receipts and answer support requests | Contract |
| Emails you send us | To reply and keep a record | Legitimate interests |
| Usernames typed into a lookup or a calculator’s fill-in | To show the public profile preview you asked for | Legitimate interests |
| Basic technical logs (such as IP address) held briefly by our hosting provider | Security, abuse prevention and rate limiting | Legitimate interests |
We never ask for your Instagram or TikTok password, and card details are handled entirely by the payment provider’s hosted checkout. We don’t see them.
Who we share it with
- Our payment provider, which processes your payment. We send it the price, an order reference and the address to return you to afterwards. We don’t send it your username, links or what you bought.
- Our delivery partner, which receives the username or link and the quantity, so it can deliver the order.
- A profile lookup service, which receives a username when you ask for a preview, to return public profile information.
- Our hosting provider, which runs the website and stores order records.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires, such as adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses. We don’t sell personal data.
Cookies and storage
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Your basket is kept in your browser’s local storage on your own device so it survives a page reload, and the last username you typed is kept for the browser session. You can clear both at any time in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
Order records are deleted automatically 90 days after the order is created. Emails and any records we need for accounting or legal claims are kept for as long as the law requires, then deleted.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Email support@followersgain.co.uk; we’ll respond within one month. If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk), though we’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top.
