Likes do a different job from followers
Followers change how a profile looks. Likes change how one post looks. When someone lands on a reel with twelve likes they tend to keep scrolling; the same reel with a few hundred gets a second glance. A likes package raises that number on one public post or reel that you choose.
As with followers, the number is what you’re paying for. The accounts that add likes won’t comment, share or save, and the package doesn’t promise that Instagram will show the post to more people. Think of it as dressing the shop window, not hiring a crowd.
Instagram like prices
| Instagram likes | Price | Each | Typically complete |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 likes | $2.49 | 2.49¢ | Same day |
| 250 likes | $3.99 | 1.6¢ | Same day |
| 500 likes | $5.99 | 1.2¢ | Same day |
| 1,000 likes | $7.99 | 0.80¢ | Same day |
| 2,500 likes | $12.99 | 0.52¢ | Within about 24 hours |
| 5,000 likes | $19.99 | 0.40¢ | Within about 24 hours |
| 10,000 likes | $34.99 | 0.35¢ | One to two days |
Prices are in US dollars. Your card provider converts the total to pounds when you pay, and any foreign-exchange fee depends on your card.
Each package goes to one post. Want several posts covered? In the order box, search your username, tap every post you’d like, and each one becomes its own package in the basket. You’ll see the total before you pay.
The per-like price falls steeply up to 1,000 and gently after that: 1,000 likes cost 0.80¢ each against 2.49¢ for 100, while going on to 10,000 only takes it to 0.35¢. For most accounts the useful sizes are the smaller ones, because the right number depends on the post and the account, not on the cheapest rate.
Choosing which posts
Not every post benefits equally. The ones that tend to repay a likes package:
- Your pinned posts. They sit at the top of the grid, so every visitor sees their numbers first.
- Launch posts. A new product, a gig date, a reopening. These are the posts people send to each other.
- Reels you’re promoting elsewhere. If you’re sharing a reel in a newsletter or a WhatsApp group, it’s worth it looking popular when people click through.
- Your newest post after a follower order. More followers means more visitors, and the first post they see should carry a like count that fits the new total.
Fresh posts are the best candidates in general. Likes arriving on yesterday’s post look like it’s doing well; 800 new likes on a photo from 2022 look like exactly what they are, and few visitors scroll that far down the grid anyway. Bands timing a release will find a full plan on the page about followers for musicians, and shops and cafés planning a launch post on the small business page.
Keep the numbers believable
Likes look odd when they’re out of step with the account around them. A profile with 600 followers and a photo with 9,000 likes reads as bought, because it is. As a rough check, look at what your best posts already get and aim for a figure that would make this post one of your strongest, not one that dwarfs the rest. For most smaller accounts that means 100 to 500 on a photo; accounts in the low thousands can take 1,000 on a Reel without anything looking off.

Likes-to-followers ratios, worked through
Here’s the rule of thumb we use. It’s our own guide, not an Instagram figure. Add the likes the post already has to the package, and compare the total with your follower count. Photos and carousels are mostly seen by your followers, so totals up to about a fifth of your follower count sit comfortably. Reels can go further, for reasons covered in the next section.
| Your followers | Photo or carousel | Reel |
|---|---|---|
| 500 | 100 | 100 to 250 |
| 2,000 | 250 | 500 to 1,000 |
| 5,000 | 500 to 1,000 | 1,000 to 2,500 |
| 20,000 | 2,500 | 5,000 to 10,000 |
Take a cake maker in Bath with 1,800 followers. Her photo of a three-tier wedding cake picks up 60 likes on its own; 250 more takes it to 310, about 17% of her followers. That makes it her best photo of the month rather than an outlier. If the account is only a few weeks old, keep well under these figures; our page on followers for a brand-new account explains why.
Reels or photos?
Instagram has said it recommends Reels to people who don’t follow you, in the Reels tab and on Explore. That’s why a Reel can believably carry more likes than a photo, and why a well-travelled one can pass your follower count without looking strange. Photos and carousels mostly appear in your followers’ feeds and on your grid, so their like count is judged against your follower count far more closely.
Two practical points. On a carousel the like count belongs to the whole post, so put the strongest image first; that’s the one people see beside the number. On a Reel, Instagram also shows how many times it has been viewed, and a likes package doesn’t add views. 1,500 likes on a Reel with 900 views doesn’t add up, so check the view count first and keep likes well below it.
1,000 Instagram likes is selected. Search your username, tap the posts you want, and review the basket.
Choose your postsDelivery and refill
Likes start arriving within minutes of payment. Up to 1,000 usually completes the same day, often within a few hours; 2,500 and 5,000 take up to about 24 hours, and 10,000 one to two days. The post has to stay public and stay up: if it’s archived or deleted, the likes go with it, and the 30-day refill can’t bring them back. For any other drop within 30 days, email support@followersgain.co.uk with your order reference and we’ll top the post back up.
