Followers for a brand-new account
Starting from zero on Instagram or TikTok? A small, paced order stops a new profile looking deserted, from $3.49 for 100 TikTok followers or $3.99 on Instagram. Get the order of operations right first, though: posts, a short wait, then a modest package.

The empty-profile problem
A new account has a chicken-and-egg problem. People are slow to follow a profile that nobody else follows, so the count stays low, so the next visitor doesn’t follow either. A coffee van launching in Newcastle, a yoga teacher in Exeter going freelance or a jewellery maker opening an online shop all hit the same wall in the first month.
A small follower order breaks that loop for a visitor’s first impression. What it can’t do is fill an empty grid, and the most obviously bought profile on Instagram is one with 1,000 followers and no posts. Bought numbers only look believable on an account that already looks used, which is why the order you do things in matters more than the package you pick.
Post before you buy anything
Give visitors something to look at first. As a minimum:
- Instagram: 9 to 12 posts. The grid shows three posts to a row, so nine gives you three full rows. Mix single photos with at least one carousel and one or two Reels, and make the top row the clearest picture of what the account is about.
- TikTok: 6 to 10 videos. A profile with one video looks like a test account. Several short videos on the same theme show a visitor what they’d be signing up for.
- A profile picture and a bio on both. A logo or a clear face, one line on what you do, and a link. TikTok bios are capped at 80 characters, so every word has to earn its place; our bio generator handles both lengths.
Spread those posts over a week or so rather than uploading twelve in an afternoon. It looks like an account in use, and it gives you time to see which kind of post gets a reaction from the people who do find you.
Give the account a little time
Brand-new accounts that do a lot very quickly look like automated ones, and both platforms watch new accounts closely for that pattern. Neither Instagram nor TikTok has published a waiting period for anything like this, so treat what follows as our advice rather than a rule: use the account normally for a week or two first. Post, follow a handful of accounts you’re genuinely interested in, reply to comments, finish the profile. Then order.
An account that’s a fortnight old with ten posts and a few dozen followers gaining 250 more looks like a decent start. An account created this morning gaining 250 looks like exactly what it is.
Start with 100 to 500
| Size | TikTok | Suits an account with | |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | $3.99 (3.99¢ each) | $3.49 (3.49¢ each) | Fewer than 30 followers |
| 250 | $5.99 (2.4¢ each) | $5.99 (2.4¢ each) | 30 to 100 followers and a full first grid |
| 500 | $9.99 (2.0¢ each) | $9.49 (1.9¢ each) | 100 to 300 followers and weekly posts |
Prices are in US dollars. Your card provider converts the total to pounds when you pay, and any foreign-exchange fee depends on your card.
Small packages cost more per follower than big ones; 10,000 Instagram followers works out at 0.60¢ each. On a new account that saving isn’t worth having, because a jump from 40 to 10,040 is obvious to anyone who looks. Start small and come back. Once you’re past a few hundred, the 500 Instagram followers and 500 TikTok followers pages go into the next step in more detail.
Pacing, and spacing your orders
Every order is delivered in batches, so even 500 arrives over several hours rather than in one go. The bigger decision is the gap between orders. Leave at least two weeks, and keep posting in between, so each step has some ordinary activity around it.
Here’s how that might look for a yoga teacher in Exeter setting up a new Instagram account for her classes:
- Days 1 to 10: profile picture, a bio with “Yoga classes in Exeter” and a booking link, then ten posts including two short Reels filmed in the studio.
- Day 14, at 35 followers: 250 followers for $5.99.
- Day 30, at around 300 with friends and students added: 500 followers for $9.99, plus 100 likes on her best Reel if its numbers look thin.
- Day 45 onwards: three posts a week, and a look at whether the account grows without help.
The two steps cost $15.98 for 750 followers, against $13.99 for a single 1,000. She pays a little more for a curve that looks like a new account getting going rather than one that jumped overnight.
Private to public, and username changes
Plenty of people keep a new account private while they set it up. Switch it to public before you order: we can’t deliver to a private profile, and if it goes private partway through, delivery stalls until it’s public again. The 30-day refill also needs the profile public.
Settle the username first, too. Delivery follows the username you give us, so changing it mid-order leaves the rest pointing at a handle that no longer exists. Instagram lets you switch back to a previous username within 14 days, and TikTok only lets you change your username once every 30 days, so a new account still trying out names can get stuck with one it doesn’t like. Pick the final handle, then order. If you’ve already changed it after ordering, email support@followersgain.co.uk with your order reference and the new username.
The order of operations
- Choose the username you’ll keep.
- Add a profile picture, a bio and a link.
- Post 9 to 12 times on Instagram, or 6 to 10 videos on TikTok, spread over a week or so.
- Use the account normally for a week or two.
- Set the profile to public.
- Order 100, 250 or 500 followers.
- Post something new while the order is delivering.
- Wait at least two weeks, keep posting, and check your engagement rate.
- Then decide on a second order, or likes on your best post.
- Keep the ord_ reference from your confirmation email in case you need the refill.
250 Instagram followers is selected above, a sensible first order for a new account. Switch to TikTok in the order box if that’s where you’re starting.
Back to the packagesMistakes that make a new account look bought
- Ordering before posting. Followers on an empty grid are the easiest thing on Instagram to spot.
- Starting with thousands. 5,000 on day one costs $34.99 and convinces nobody.
- Ordering from several sellers at once. Overlapping deliveries create exactly the spike that pacing is meant to avoid, and make any drop impossible to trace.
- Likes far out of proportion. 2,000 likes on a post from an account with 300 followers stands out. On a new account, 100 to 250 likes on your best post is plenty.
- Expecting the followers to engage. They won’t like, comment or watch. Engagement on a new account comes from what you post and who you reach.
- Going quiet after the order. A count that rises while the grid stops updating looks worse than either would on its own.
